Supermoon last night (Dec 4, 2025). This was 3 in a row in 2025, and another one is in January 2026 to make it 4 in row! A supermoon occurs when the moon's orbit passes near or closest to the Earth at the same time as a full moon. The moon can "appear" up to 14% larger, especially near the horizon and also "appear" 30% brighter.
